great ideas.
Make sure the washing powder doesn't contain salt or phosphorus or you'll harm the soil.
Our class has done a survey after reading your hints on saving water when washing clothes. We found that 7 families have front loading washing machines and 9 have top loading machines.
I have a spin dryer that collects the water the comes off the clothes, and you can use that water for watering plants or cleaning. It's a good thing, especially here in Melbourne where we have had a very dry winter/spring.
I wonder how many people have spin driers that save the water?
